Worship Committee

| This committee is responsible for planning and implementing our worship services. They are also
in charge ofdecorating the sanctuary, providing Children’s Church, Love Feast, and Communion. To serve on this committee, a person must be an active member of the congregation. Meetings are open to anyone who is interested,

Ushers

| Ushers serve to welcome, seat, guide, and protect our worshipers. They collect the tithes and offerings
during the services. The position of usher is one of great responsibility in the church and, as such, ushers must be appointed by the Nurture Commission. If you have an interest in becoming an usher, please make your interest known to the Head Usher or any member of the Nurture Commission.

Greeters

| Working with the ushers, the greeters are responsible for meeting and welcoming people as they enter the church building for services. They also help direct visitors to Sunday School classes, nursery, sanctuary, rest moms, etc.

Worship Leaders

| These individuals lead the 11:00 a.m. service through
prayers, reading, and announcements.

Altar Committee
| Interest: | Decorating, Working with Flowers |
| Spiritual Gifts: | Creativity |
| The Altar Committee works with the Pastor and the Worship Committee to ensure that the altar and
sanctuary are decorated to encourage a worshipful atmosphere. They coordinate the volunteer altar flower calendar and organize Christmas poinsettias and Easter lilies. Individuals are encouraged to sign up to provide flowers for the altar.

Love Feast and Communion Committee

| Spiritual Gifts: | Administration, Hospitality |
| This group is responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out four communion services each
year. Two of these are Bread and Cup services conducted in January and July. The other two are held in conjunction with Love Feast on Palm Sunday and again in October.

Praise and Worship Team

| Spiritual Gifts: | Gifts: Music, Leadership |
| This group leads worship songs during the 8:30 a.m. service and special music throughout the year.
Practices are Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.

Sound Technicians
| Interest: | Music, Technology |
| Spiritual Gifts: | Service to Others |
| These individuals operate the sound board during services and special events. Training is involved
and there is remuneration for outside services.

Ministerial Committee

| This committee hires and provides administrative oversight. It also finds fill-in speakers and
appoints the Lay Shepherd coordinator and Elder candidates. |
